Introduction:

Audio Section has been added in Video Starter Kit - Advance Edition ver 5.2 with similar features available for videos.

Now user or admin can

• Upload any format videos and audio files and publish it to mp3 files.
• Manage audio files via tags, categories, archives, searches, user files.
• Action on audio files including rating, add to favorites, abuse / spam reports, comments on it and more.
• Play audio files in similar fashion as video playing.
• Full audio management in control panel.

Difference between video and audio sections:

Although videos and audio files have similar features but there are some differences.

• Audio files encoded only in mp3 format in current version.
• No playlist feature available for audio files.
• No audio subscription available. Only videos are showing in subscriber list.
• No audio files history generated as available for video files.
• No audio watched statistic counter exist as available for video files.

Audio Settings:

Audio encoding settings can be configured using newly added configuration section in control panel. screen shot available below.

Main options included:

• Audio Formats: Set allowable video and audio file formats.
• Max Audio Size: Set Maximum allowable audio size in MB.
• Delete Original Audio? Allow script to delete original video or audio file after publishing.
• Audio Bitrate: Set audio bitrate for encoding.
• Audio Sampling Rate: Set audio sampling rate for encoding.
• Additional Parameters: Set any special parameters to be used in audio encoding.
• Audio Output Type: Set audio output type for audio encoding. Currently only mp3 output is available.
• Audio Publishing: Set option to publish audio files directly or one by one sequentially.

You can toggle on, off audio feature in video starter kit from feature section of configuration section.
